Track your Trulicity doses in Peptimes
Trulicity is Eli Lilly and Company's brand of dulaglutide, and it comes in single-dose pens. Peptimes is a private iPhone tracker where you note each Trulicity dose as you take it: the amount, where you injected, and how the day went.
You bring the amounts and the schedule from your prescriber, and Peptimes never suggests an amount. It's a tracking app, with nothing to sell you.
What Trulicity is
Trulicity is made by Eli Lilly and Company, and its active ingredient is dulaglutide. FDA approved it on September 18, 2014, under BLA 125469 (a biologics license application, not an NDA). It's injected under the skin.
Its label lists a single presentation: single-dose pens, packed four to a carton. Drugs@FDA lists every Trulicity product on the application as a prescription product, and none as discontinued. We checked both on October 27, 2026.
Trulicity's US status
FDA Approved, for the uses in its label. Read them in the Trulicity label on DailyMed, the version Eli Lilly and Company publishes.
Prescription only, as Drugs@FDA lists it.
On compounding, FDA says "Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved," and Trulicity's approval covers Lilly's own pens, for their route and their labeled uses, not any other product. See what "compounded" means for the difference.
The only dulaglutide brand on Drugs@FDA
Unlike semaglutide and tirzepatide, dulaglutide has one brand: Drugs@FDA lists Trulicity alone on the only application for it. Other GLP-1 brands, such as Ozempic or Mounjaro, contain different active ingredients and have pages of their own. The brands and ingredients guide lists them all.
If your prescriber ever moves you to a different medicine, your Trulicity history stays where it is under dulaglutide. Keeping records when you switch medicines covers what to note on the day.
Logging Trulicity in Peptimes
The Library names entries by active ingredient, so Trulicity is under dulaglutide. Search by a brand name such as Trulicity, and you'll find the entry for its active ingredient. To schedule it, add dulaglutide as a protocol: tap +, choose Add a Protocol, and search Trulicity or dulaglutide. Then enter the days and times you already follow.
A Trulicity entry holds:
- the amount, which you type in from your prescription
- the route, subcutaneous, which is the only one Peptimes offers for dulaglutide
- the injection site you used
- how you feel, as ratings and notes, whenever you want to add them
The protocol keeps the name dulaglutide. If you'd like the brand written down too, add "Trulicity pen" to a dose's Notes, and it shows on that dose's summary.
Your Trulicity injection sites
Each site you record joins a body map in Insights that shows where you've injected and how recently. It reflects your own past entries and never points to where to inject next. Injection site history goes through it step by step.

Reminders on your Trulicity days
Peptimes sends a reminder for each scheduled dose, either at its time or a number of minutes before that you choose. When a dose is still unlogged, a "Not logged" follow-up comes later; set its delay or switch it off.
With Discreet on, every dose reminder and its follow-up leave out Trulicity and the amount, saying just "You have a reminder" and "Open the app to see it." The notification still carries Peptimes' name and icon, as any iPhone notification does.

Months of Trulicity doses, in one place
Dose History puts every dose in order, newest first, and tapping dulaglutide narrows it to those. In the Calendar, by month, week or day, you can open a past day to log a dose you missed recording, or mark it "I didn't take it".
For an appointment, export your records as CSV or JSON; exporting your records shows how. Your health records are stored on your iPhone, and your records may not come across to a new iPhone, so export a copy first.

FAQ
Can I find Trulicity by name in Peptimes?
Yes. Searching Trulicity finds dulaglutide, the entry for its active ingredient, in the Library and in Add a Protocol. There's no separate Trulicity entry.
Does Peptimes tell me my Trulicity dose?
No. Peptimes never suggests an amount. You enter the one on your prescription, and it keeps the record and the reminders.
Does Peptimes tell me where to inject Trulicity?
No. The Insights body map shows only where you've injected and how recently, from the sites you logged. Where to inject is a question for your prescriber or the Trulicity Instructions for Use.
Is a compounded product the same as Trulicity?
No. Trulicity is Eli Lilly and Company's FDA-approved product, and FDA states that "Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved." No other product shares Trulicity's approval.
